Oh, but thats not all, there are more:

Somedays, I am very happy I got away from VoIP. Don’t get me wrong, ’standards’ are better than the situation with RSS, but this many standards make it nearly impossible to get every client and server working perfectly with each other.

Colm has an awesomr article on benchmarking the Sun Niagara vs ftp.heatnet.ie.

The real disappointment is that the Event MPM and Solaris Event Ports can still panic the kernel. I have only experenced this bug since before Solaris 10 went GA. Maybe Sun will fix it soon.

Anasazi

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

Theo has proposed a new distributed group communication project, called Anasazi.

I wish I had more spare time, just to work on it. Anasazi could be useful by all kinds of projects, not just things at $work.

There is a wiki too. Hopefully some companies can be convinced of the value of an open source GCS, and help with development. Open Source infrastructure projects, just like the Apache HTTP Server, are good for everyone involved.

This is just a reminder that the internet is getting awesomr every day:

Video content on the internet is growing every day. It is kind of neat. I am still not sure I like video… compared to text. It has lots of attributes that make it very inefficient and hard to use. Indexing it is hard. Searching it is hard too. Consuming it takes more time. Text on the other hand is easier to index, and you can consume it as fast as you can read it….. I guess there is a place for each in the future.
