myspace generation

There were 350 graduates from Mead High School(*) in 2003.I was one of them. There are are 106 MySpace profiles that claim to be graduates from that year too. 30% penetration in a group of 20-21 year olds.

I don’t have a MySpace profile. Maybe I am missing something important.

(*)Shocking side note, the Mead High School website is still running same stuff I coded for them in 2001.

Too bad the new and improved version never made it public. Remember how Hanson set up that class, Advanced Computer Systems, and Andrew(was that his name?) you and I(Josh) would code. Well mostly it was you, I did a very very basic image system, and Andrew didn’t make it too far with User Auth IIRC.

Just to be awkward here; isn’t that 106 ex-student willing to admit they went to that school? I know having had an account that I didn’t confess to my schooling. I am obviously missing out on something too, because I had and account, I cancelled it shortly after creating it. All it is, is a page with a picture of you, some stuff you’re willing to state about yourself and comments from your “friends”.

At least with NeoPets you have pretend money to play with. See you around Paul.

Yes, the 30%/106 is a minimum number, which is part of the reason it is to impressive to me.
