Oh man, I will be at Powell's books (City and Techincal) the following week. I'm flying but plan to ship my books back home to San Francisco. I will have to buy a new bookshelf when I get back!

Oh, and if you make it to Spokane, WA, try to eat at a place called "Top O' China". You can get mussels covered with colby jack cheese. Yummy! Oh, and speaking of bookstores, next door to ToC (as I call it), the bookstore has an entire wall dedicated to Bibles. Who needs Powells with their boring sections on Wittgenstein and Science Fiction? Bah, Spokane says.

Don't do the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

There are so many great things to do around Vancouver that there is no need to waste your time and money on a tourist-trap rip-off like that.

You could go back down 58, in central Oregon - there's lots of interesting stuff to see out there, if you dont mind some side trips. Crater Lake, Fort Rock, Newberry Crater, Bend, Oregon.
